I wanted to share what has become one of our family's favorite breakfasts since starting our whole-food plant-based way of eating 2 years ago. It's quick and easy and completely customizable to meet your families tastes. Thank you www.forksoverknives.com for the introduction. Their weekly meal planner was invaluable in helping us change our habits and explore new ways of eating. This recipe is no longer listed on their site but it is a great place to visit for ideas and inspiration.


10-15 pitted dates (adjust as desired for sweetness)

1-2T Cocoa powder

1/4 - 1/2c peanut butter (can substitute any nut butter here)

1c plant milk (I like oat) + more to create desired consistency

Place all ingredients in a high powered blender and puree. Pour over 2 sliced bananas and top with granola, fresh berries, or just eat as is! Generally get 3-4 servings out of this mix. Store any excess in the fridge and enjoy!
